ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 8, 2014) – The Men's Lacrosse team earned a hard-fought 10-9 win over the visiting Golden Knight of the College of Saint Rose this afternoon.

Roberts Wesleyan, who remains undefeated, needed to play three overtime sessions which is a new program record.

The Redhawks got their golden goal from Nick Wolak in the third overtime period with just 1:20 left to play after beating his defender and making a run from the left side, beating Saint Rose's goalkeeper.

The game was close throughout as both teams traded goals for most of the game.

Dom Cianfarano put the home team up when he scored with 47 seconds left in regulation, but after a timeout, Saint Rose evened the score at 9-9 when Rich Bamberger sent shot to the back of the net.

Cianfarano led all scorers with four goals while Matt Benedict added three goals and an assist. 
Wolak finished the game with two goals as Mike Hubert scored once.  

For Saint Rose, the Golden Knights were led by Bamberger's three-goal output while six played each scored once.

Defensively, Tim Davidson had two caused turnovers for Roberts Wesleyan and now has eight on the season.

Net-minder Matt Hamilton notched eight saves in the winning effort for the Redhawks, who are now 4-0 to start the year.

The team will now prepare for their biggest challenge of the season as they host LIU Post in an East Coast Conference match-up next Saturday at 1pm.
